About Cite While Your Write

  • The EndNote Cite While You Write (CWYW) function can be used to quickly and easily add citations to a document (e.g. Microsoft Word) on both a PC and Mac

  • The CWYW function will also generate your bibliography/reference list in the referencing style of your choice

  • When EndNote is installed, it will automatically add an EndNote toolbar to your word program. If you haven't already noticed the tool bar, open a word document and take a look towards the top of the page :)

Cite While You Write - Features

  • Insert references from your EndNote library into your word document; both in-text citations and footnotes
  • Create a bibliography/reference list in the referencing style of your choice (e.g. Harvard; APA 6th, Vancouver)
  • Change the layout of your Bibliography (e.g. indentations, spacing and font size)
  • Easily edit citations and delete citations
