Getting started

To access library resources (books, ebooks and journals) you need to register to use the library service

 

Once you are a member of the SA Health Library Service you will be able to: 

Access library resources via mobile apps
Search a broad range of medical databases.
Search for print and eBooks on internship and medical education

Medical Calculators

Contains a wide array of medical formulae, clinical criteria sets and decision tree analysis tools used everyday by clinicians.

UpToDate contains a library of calculators. UpToDate access at work and at home

Online Resources for Interns

AccessMedicine provides medical students with a variety of resources needed to excel in basic science studies and clerkships and helps residents with instant access to videos, self-assessment, and leading medical textbooks that facilitate decision-making at the point-of-care.

AccessEmergency Medicine provides medical students with a variety of resources needed to excel on their clerkship and assists residents in gaining instant access to videos, self-assessment, and leading emergency textbooks that will establish an important foundation for learning. 

AccessSurgery provides medical students with a variety of resources needed to excel in their surgery clerkship and assists residents in gaining instant access to videos, self-assessment, and leading surgical textbooks that will establish an important foundation for learning.

AccessAnesthesiology can help students excel in their clerkship and assist residents in strengthening their skills with instant access to procedural videos, self-assessment, and leading anesthesiology textbooks that will establish a solid base for learning.

AccessPediatrics can help medical students to excel in their clerkship through use of use videos, cases, and Q&A and assist residents with leading pediatric textbooks and vignette style exam prep that will establish an important foundation for future practice.
